1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, creating an account, or using OtoLog ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and the developers of OtoLog ("we", "us", or "our"). We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time; continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Description of the Service
OtoLog is a cloud-based, online Android application that helps users track vehicle ownership, maintenance history, fuel consumption, and associated expenses. OtoLog requires an internet connection and a registered account to function.
Core features include:
- User account registration and authentication (email/password or Google SSO)
- Multi-vehicle management and tracking
- Service and maintenance record logging
- Fuel consumption and efficiency analysis
- Expense analytics and smart insights
- PDF report export
- Cloud-synchronized data via Supabase
The App is free and supported by in-app advertisements from Google AdMob.
3. User Accounts
To use OtoLog, you must create an account by registering with your email address and a password, or by authenticating through Google Sign-In. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Keep your login credentials confidential and not share them with others
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, contain false information, or are associated with fraudulent or abusive activity.
You must be at least 13 years of age to register an account.
4. User Responsibilities
You agree to use OtoLog only for lawful purposes. You shall not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App or its source code
- Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the App
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or our infrastructure
- Use the App to infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
- Upload malicious files, scripts, or harmful content
- Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the App or the backend API
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels within the App
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of any data you enter into OtoLog. We are not responsible for decisions you make based on information generated by the App.
5. Cloud Data & Service Availability
All your data is stored on Supabase cloud servers. While we strive for high availability, OtoLog relies on third-party cloud infrastructure and an internet connection, and we cannot guarantee uninterrupted, error-free service at all times.
We are not liable for data loss resulting from service outages, Supabase infrastructure failures, or your failure to maintain access to your registered account.
6. Advertisements
OtoLog is free and supported by in-app advertising via Google AdMob. By using the App, you consent to the display of advertisements. Advertisement content is controlled by Google and subject to Google's advertising policies.
We do not endorse, and are not responsible for, the content of third-party advertisements displayed within the App.
7. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in OtoLog — including but not limited to the application code, design, interface, graphics, logos, and brand assets — are owned by us and protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use OtoLog on your personal Android device solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes.
You retain full ownership of the data you enter into the App. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store and process your data on cloud infrastructure solely to provide the service to you, with no rights to use it commercially.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
OtoLog is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The App or cloud service will be error-free or continuously available
- Calculations, insights, or recommendations are accurate or suitable for making financial or mechanical decisions about your vehicle
- Data stored in the cloud will never be lost due to infrastructure failures
Maintenance insights and cost analyses are for informational purposes only. Always consult a qualified automotive professional for vehicle maintenance decisions.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of cloud data due to account deletion, infrastructure failure, or service discontinuation
- Loss of revenue or profits from decisions made based on App insights
- Vehicle damage arising from reliance on App-generated recommendations
- Unauthorized access to your account or cloud data
- Service interruptions caused by third-party providers (Supabase, Google, etc.)
Our total liability for any claim arising from the use of OtoLog shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months prior to the claim (which, for a free app, is zero).
10. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@otolog.app. Upon account deletion, all your cloud data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account without prior notice if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we discontinue the service. In such cases, we will endeavor to notify you and, where possible, provide an opportunity to export your data before deletion.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of OtoLog shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Indonesia.
12. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. Your continued use of OtoLog after any changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.
